With over two decades of experience in non-profit leadership, philanthropy, and strategic development, Tammy Ford is a mission-driven executive known for advancing social impact through innovative fundraising, data-informed strategies, and authentic relationship-building, with a focus on organizations serving vulnerable and historically under-served communities.
Following her role as Director of Philanthropy for a national child-protection foundation—where she led initiatives that increased donor retention by more than 40% in less than one year while building scalable infrastructure for major gifts, capital campaigns, and long-term planned giving—Tammy relaunched her own private non-profit consulting practice. As a freelance consultant and non-profit systems expert, she partnered with organizations ranging from early-stage startups to established institutions, providing fractional fundraising leadership, grant writing, and operational strategies to help scale sustainably and diversify revenue.
It was through this consulting work that she was first introduced to Susan’s Lowcountry Non-Profit. What began as a strategic partnership quickly became a personal calling. Deeply moved by the Founder, John Morgan’s, passion and the organization’s mission to serve isolated seniors and veterans, she transitioned from consultant and advisor to organizational leader, stepping into the role of CEO in 2025 to help expand its impact and vision.
Today, Tammy leads with a deep commitment to restoring dignity, connection, and belonging for those who have too often been overlooked—particularly seniors and veterans across the Lowcountry who face isolation, mobility challenges, and gaps in accessible support. She is passionate about advancing community-focused initiatives that address immediate needs while creating meaningful opportunities for engagement and care.
Known for her analytical mindset, creative problem-solving, and values-driven leadership, Tammy brings both strategic rigor and human-centered empathy to her work. She is committed to strengthening Susan’s Lowcountry Non-Profit through thoughtful growth, sustainable systems, and mission-aligned impact.
Outside of her professional work, Tammy is a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, roots for the Boston Celtics, and is an avid University of South Carolina Gamecocks football supporter. She is also the proud mom of two cats, Bodhi and Ravi, and enjoys spending time with friends and loved ones, unwinding at the beach, exploring global cuisines through cooking, and expressing her creativity through art and design.
